People think of sun protection as skin protection, seldom have eye protection in mind. As a matter of fact, researches show that eyes are sensitive to UV rays which would do harm to eyes and cause eyes diseases. Thus, delicate eyes need our special care in heat summer days.
Never direct view sun, especially when it is strong. Eyes are very fragile. Short-term direct view to sunlight will result in an immediate shadow in eyes.Long-term direct view to sunlight will cause pain, tears, inflammation and blurred vision and even hurt retina.
It is well known that eyes are the most sensitive part to the ultraviolet radiation and they can widely absorb UV rays of different wavelengths. The UV rays with the wavelength of 280nm are most harmful to the cornea, which would result in conjunctivitis. The 290-400nm wavelength UV ray can cause biggest damage to the lens, which is also the reason for cataract. Surveys show that if you bask yourself in the sun for one more hour every day, the rate that you get cataract increase 10%.And now we should talk about some precautions.
When you are outgoing in summer, remember to wear broad-brimmed hat or use umbrella, a pair bifocal glasses is most effective in protecting your eyes. It's important to note that the bifocal sunglasses should be good in respect of quality. Poor sunglasses are not helpful in protecting your eyes; instead, they may cause a lot of problems to eyes. Buy a pair of anti-ultraviolet sunglasses when summer comes so that your eyes will be safer. Medical studies have certified that lenses in grey are best as grey have little influence on the effect of vision but effective in anti-UV. Those who wear contact lenses can also choose those with anti-VU code which can block 90% UV rays. It would be safer to add a pair of progressive eyeglasses. At noon, the sun is strongest and your skin and eyes are at highest risk. The best way to protect you is to keep indoors.  #

People think of sun protection as skin protection, seldom have eye protection in mind. In fact, studies have shown that ultraviolet radiation will lead to keratitis, cataracts, retinal damage and other eye diseases. For that reason, we ought to care our eyes especially in hot summer.
Please don't look up into the sun. Eyes are more vulnerable. Direct view to sun for a while may lead to temporary giddiness. If one looks at sun directly for a long time, he/she is likely to get eye pain, tears, inflammation and blurred vision.

When you go out in hot summer days, you must bring hat, parasol and bifocal eyeglasses with you for sun protection use. What is noteworthy is that the quality of progressive glasses is very important to the health of eyes. If you buy schlock sunglasses, instead of protecting eyes, you are doing harm to your eyes. Buy a pair of anti-ultraviolet sunglasses when summer comes so that your eyes will be safer. It has been shown in much medical research that sunglasses of neutral density glass with grey lenses are best in blocking UV rays. It is better for contact lens wearers to buy anti-ultraviolet ones which cut 90% ultraviolet rays. If you wear progressive eyeglasses at the same time, so much the better. The sun is strongest at noon, which is harmful to both your skin and eyes. You'd better stay at home without going out.

Instead, surveys show that ultraviolet radiation is the main cause of some eye diseases, such as keratitis, cataracts, retinal damage. So, we can't ignore the eye injury caused by ultraviolet radiation.
Don't look directly into the sun. Delicate eyes are easily hurt.Direct view to sun for a while may lead to temporary giddiness. One may suffer from pain, tears, inflammation and blurred vision if he/she looks up to sun for a long time.
As is known to all, eyes are fragile and susceptible to ultraviolet radiation which would easily injury eyes. The 280-nm wavelength UV ray does the greatest injury to the cornea. It is likely to cause conjunctivitis. The UV rays with the wavelength of 290-400nm are harmful to lens, which would result in cataract. Studies suggest one is more likely to get cataract if he/she roasts in the sun more. Then what should we do in preventing the harm?
If you stay out in the sun, you'd better make use of hat, umbrella and bifocal eyeglasses to protect your eyes from sunlight. It should be noted that you'd better buy a pair of bifocal sunglasses of good quality. Inferior sunglasses will hurt your eyes rather than protecting eyes. They may cause mydriasis. One must buy himself/herself a pair of sunglasses with anti-UV function. Medical studies have certified that lenses in grey are best as grey have little influence on the effect of vision but effective in anti-UV. People wearing contact lenses can buy UV-protective ones which are able to block 90% ultraviolet radiation. It would be safer to add a pair of progressive eyeglasses.
